Pricing FAQ
Do I need my own email provider?
Yes. SendPromptly is an orchestration layer. You provide SMTP or Email API credentials and configure DNS (SPF/DKIM/DMARC) with your provider. Provider fees are separate.
When does my monthly quota reset?
Quotas reset monthly on your billing date (anchored to when you started your subscription), not on the calendar month.
What happens if I go slightly over my quota?
Each plan includes a small 10% courtesy buffer to prevent unexpected interruptions (for example, the Free plan has a hard stop at 11,000 requests). If you exceed the hard stop, requests are blocked until your next reset or until you add a Usage Pack (if eligible).
Can I add a Usage Pack mid-month?
Yes. You can add packs at any time and they take effect immediately. Stripe will prorate the cost for the remainder of your billing period.
If I remove a pack or downgrade, when does it apply?
Downgrades (including pack removals) apply at the start of your next billing cycle.
Is SendPromptly intended for high-volume bulk sending?
No. SendPromptly is optimized for transactional email and webhook orchestration at low-to-moderate volume. If you need bulk/high-volume sending, use a dedicated ESP and architecture designed for that scale.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Quotas reset each billing cycle. The courtesy buffer helps absorb small spikes without requiring rollover credits.
